Still a bit cold!

This week was really good and still loving that it is a little cold!  This week we had interviews with President Palmer which was a good experience, he always gives good advice!

I don't have much time so here are some photos from the week! Those last few pics are little roasted grasshoppers with chile and lemon on a hard tortilla! It was actually pretty good, once I got over the fact that I was eating insects of course... Have a great week!

FRIO En Orizaba!

Yesterday was one of the few times in my mission it actually got cold (ish)!!!!!!!!! I think we were in like the high 40s or low 50s and it was glorious!!!!! I had my rain jacket and a sweater and my long sleeve shirt and I still felt a little cold but it was just hilarious to see everyone covered up like it was snowing or below freezing.

I really like my new area, it's the only area I haven't suffered of heat. It's also really big and the members are super nice! For example, yesterday we went to the church at 7:00 for a ward council and we got there to find out that it had been cancelled, but the bishop's first counselor invited us to his house to eat tacos!! Twas a good day haha.

These past two weeks have flown by, Elder BaƱos and I have been focusing on finding and with the help of the members we've been able to find quite a few to teach and so we've been quite busy. I forgot my camera cable again so I don't have any pictures but I'll send them next week! Hope you all have a great week!

A trip to the hospital and transferred ... again!

This week was absolutely wild ... but I'm fine! On Wednesday, I got sick but I still worked throughout the day. On Thursday, I woke up feeling worse. I had a high fever, headache, stomach pain, throwing up, etc. I went to the hospital and they did some exams. They hooked me up to an IV and kept me overnight. (The nurse had a hard time finding my vein!) Turns out I had a nasty stomach infection. Thankfully, I felt fine the next morning. The hospital was actually really nice ... minus the hospital gown! HA! They put me in a suite with a couch for my companion to sleep on. The funny thing is that they know the missionaries at the hospital. When we arrived, the woman in the front said, "It has been a little while since one of the brothers came to visit us." The doctor gave me the name of a medicine to buy if the stomach pain comes back but so far ... I feel fine!

Christmas morning with President and Sister Palmer!

In other news ... I was transferred .. again! I have more areas than anybody else that I have met in my mission. I'm on my 7th area in about 16 months! I have served in 6 out of the 9 zones. I am now serving in Nogales, Orizaba. My companion is Elder Banos. He is from Hidalgo, Mexico.

HAPPY NAVIDAD AND FELIZ NEW YEAR

These past couple weeks have gone by super quick!

Last Wednesday we had the ward christmas dinner which was super fun. The food was great and many members brought friends that we were able to talk to. I think I've already mentioned that my companion dances semi professionally, but if I haven't now you know haha. Anyways the members talked him into asking permission to dance in a dance competition at the dinner and the president gave him permission! However, they started so late that we had to go before the dinner competition which stunk, but besides that it was fun.
A senior missionary couple serving in Mexico City visited Veracruz.  The Elder served there as a missionary
when he was young.  They emailed us these pictures!

Dinner at the Carrillo's

The next day we went as a zone to a hospital and sang Christmas songs and I dressed up as Santa. That was fun too but I was dying in the heat... We were there for like 2 hours.

Friday was zone conference. At the zone conference, we talked about being simple and clear in the lessons and finding joy in every moment, even in the rejections. We also did sketches that we prepared which were funny and then we had a nice lunch. I was super happy because it wasn't pizza... It's always pizza.

On Christmas day we went to the Presidents house for breakfast as a zone, and then my comp and I went and ate lunch with some members and then skyped home which was great and then we went to eat dinner. All in all it was a good Christmas Day. Today we have a few dinner appointments as well to celebrate the new year.

This Saturday we are hoping for three baptisms! Two brothers, Bryan (12)and Jose (9), and the 16 year old kid who has struggled with receiving an answer named Ricardo! Pray for them so that everything goes well! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
